How we evaluate flights and calculate the Performance Score.
How does the flight rating work?
Every flight starts with a maximum rating of 100%.
During the flight, our ACARS system checks various parameters
to encourage realistic and clean flight operations.
If the system detects certain events, the so-called Performance Score is reduced by a corresponding percentage. Instead of using technical values only, we deliberately show clear deductions so that every pilot can immediately understand how an event affects the rating.
Important: The Performance Score is not just a statistic. It also affects how many XP a pilot receives for a flight. The cleaner and more realistically a flight is conducted, the better the rating and the more XP can be awarded accordingly.

Our rating criteria

What does this mean for XP?
The amount of XP awarded depends on flight performance and the achieved
Performance Score. A flight with a full rating therefore earns more XP
than a flight where several deductions were detected.
This rewards pilots who fly cleanly, follow realistic procedures and operate their aircraft safely. At the same time, individual minor mistakes are not the end of the world – they only have a proportional effect on the rating and therefore on the XP awarded.

Forgot to start ACARS?
You can submit a manual PIREP through the Crew Center. However, you will receive only 50 XP for the flight.
Therefore, after your PIREP has been approved, expect a corresponding XP deduction.
