Rules – Flugwurst VA

Please read our rules carefully. By becoming a member, you agree to these rules.

§1General

  1. Membership in Flugwurst VA is free of charge.
  2. Minimum age: 16 years.
  3. Every member is required to treat others with respect.
  4. Insults, discriminatory content or inappropriate behaviour will result in exclusion.
  5. Instructions from VA administrators and staff members must be followed.

§2Membership

  1. Every pilot must register with a valid e-mail address.
  2. Only one account per person is permitted.
  3. A VATSIM account is mandatory.
  4. At least 24 flight hours on VATSIM are required to become a member of Flugwurst VA.
  5. FSX, P3D, MSFS or X-Plane is required as a flight simulator.
  6. Membership in Flugwurst VA requires a valid Discord account. Members must join the official Flugwurst VA Discord server and, after their application has been accepted, link their Flugwurst VA account to their Discord account through the dashboard.
  7. The Flugwurst VA account must be linked to the Discord account through the dashboard no later than 7 days after the application has been accepted. If this is not completed within the deadline, the account will be deleted. The same applies if the official Flugwurst VA Discord server is left without prior coordination or communication with the team and no further communication takes place within 7 days.
  8. After your application has been accepted, your first flight must be completed within 14 days. If no flight is completed within this period, your account will initially be suspended. If there is no response or activity within a further 7 days, the account will be deleted.

§3Flight Operations

  1. Flights are recorded using vaBase ACARS.
  2. Manual reporting is also possible, but only with an attached screenshot of the VATSIM or Volanta tracker. For approved manual PIREPs, the pilot receives only 50 XP.
  3. Scheduled flights must be reserved through the dashboard menu.
  4. Bookings are valid for 24 hours. If the flight is not completed within this period, the reservation will be cancelled automatically.
Note: This rule does not apply to events organised by Flugwurst VA.
  5. Flugwurst VA allows charter flights. The callsign FWVxxxx or FWZxxxx for cargo flights must also be used for these flights.
  6. Every flight must be conducted realistically (no “crash flights” or excessive simulation tricks).
  7. Flight plans should be created using SimBrief unless the VA specifies otherwise.
  8. PIREPs (Pilot Reports) must be submitted truthfully. Manipulation will result in exclusion.
  9. Landings with extreme values (e.g. > -1000 fpm) may be rejected.

§4Online Flying (VATSIM)

  1. The VATSIM Code of Conduct applies.
  2. Callsign: FWVxxxx (e.g. FWV1234) or, for cargo flights, FWZxxxx (e.g. FWZ1234) – the VA reserves the right to reject other callsigns.
  3. Inappropriate behaviour on the networks may affect membership in Flugwurst VA.

§5Ranks & Awards

  1. Ranks are based on flight hours and XP (see ranking list).
  2. Awards can be earned through special achievements, events or activities.
  3. Abuse (e.g. artificially farming XP) is prohibited.

§6Community Conduct

  1. Communication (e.g. on Discord) must be friendly and respectful.
  2. Political, religious or offensive content is prohibited.
  3. Advertising for other VAs or projects is only permitted after consultation with staff.

§7Data Protection

  1. Our Privacy Policy applies.
  2. By using Flugwurst VA, you agree to the storage and processing of your data in vaBase and SimBrief.

§8Violations

  1. Violations of these rules may result in warnings, loss of rank or exclusion.
  2. Staff reserves the right to decide on sanctions in special cases.

§9Fleet Additions and Liveries

  1. Aircraft requests may be submitted by all members through the designated Discord channel.
  2. All submitted proposals are collected. On the 15th of each month, a vote is held on the proposals received. The aircraft with the most votes is selected as the next candidate for inclusion in the Flugwurst fleet.
  3. After being added to the fleet, a two-week test phase begins. During this period, flights with the respective aircraft may be conducted normally and submitted via PIREP.
  4. Permanent inclusion of the aircraft in the fleet and the creation of a Flugwurst livery will only take place if, within the test phase, at least 8 PIREPs and 4 different pilots using the respective aircraft can be verified.
  5. If the requirements according to the previous paragraph are not met, the test phase ends unsuccessfully. The aircraft will subsequently be removed from the Flugwurst fleet. In this case, there is no entitlement to the creation of a Flugwurst livery.
  6. Management reserves the right to deviate from the above rules in justified exceptional cases if this is necessary in the interests of the Virtual Airline or flight operations.
