History – Flugwurst VA
How our virtual airline grew from a shared passion.
In 2024, we – Patrick and Gonzo – met through a milsim project.
At the time, civil flight simulation was still a long way off for us, but in March 2025 Patrick discovered his passion for virtual aviation.
Together, we took our first steps in the FlyByWire A320neo: learning the basics of flying, getting to grips with the A320 family and communicating on the VATSIM network.
Today, Patrick has more than 100 flight hours and is confidently flying throughout European airspace – now also in the Airbus A350.
During 2025, the idea of founding our own virtual airline finally took shape: Flugwurst VA. We chose Munich as our home base – not only because of its central location, but also because ATC coverage is available there on the networks very frequently.
From the very beginning, our goal was clear: we wanted to create a VA that stands out from others. Even the name shows that a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere is at the heart of our community. At the same time, we value individual freedom:

- Charter flights are explicitly permitted.
- The entire fleet is available to all pilots, regardless of rank.
- If you can operate an aircraft safely, you are welcome to fly it with us – without unnecessary barriers.
